With added details on the background, more time is spent in drawing this page. Wonder if I should cut out the BG and reduce panels to make quicker updates?

Man this is freaking amazing! If you're goal is faster updates though maybe experiment with the styles on sites like webtoons? This might not be your goal though as your comic is very much like a perfect traditional manga, but the webtoons comics have less panels per row, and also don't have too much detail in their backgrounds for efficiency. Either way though I can say that it's worth the wait for this comic lol. Don't feel pressured to change unless you really want to cause you're not doing anything wrong.

Don't worry about quicker updates, friend! I'm a patient guy, take your time =)

The tricky part especially in webcomics is being able to churn out many pages without losing quality. Story wise or visually.

My suggestion is to find a way to use backgrounds sparingly. This is apparent when you look at weekly releases such as One Piece. Oda cuts corners but does so without dropping quality.

Kubo in the other hand... is not a good example.

You do whatever is best for you, although I really don't mind waiting. This page is beautiful.

The backgrounds came out beautifully, especially the bottom panel. It's so striking!

I know this is old so sorry if this comment is too late and irrelevant, but I agree with what Maxis says, above with the details you draw. Backgrounds help emerge readers into the story and are good to look at, but you can have a lot of plain white or simple toned backgrounds for most panels until you actually have a reason to show the background, like with you showing where Cain's running. When people are staying in the same place, like those people driving in the car, you probably don't need to worry so much about drawing the inside of the car over and over again.
